***PREMIUM SALE*** HIGH BIDDER DOES NOT RECEIVE THE TRAILER. ALL BIDS CLEARED OUT ON 3/19/2020 at 1:54PM CDT. FUTURE BIDS WILL NOT BE REMOVED

I am a Senior in High School about to go off to Texas Tech University in order to study Mechanical Engineering. This is not my first year building Ag Mech projects. I first had found my love for welding when I was in the 5th and 6th grade. My dad used to be an Ag Mech teacher and as his son I wanted to be like all of the older kids. After begging he finally let me start to weld and since then every chance I get I am making something new or just experimenting seeing what else I can make. This year for me was a special year. San Antonio stock show fell on the six year anniversary of my grandfather passing. He passed away on the first day that I would have ever showed in and Ag Mech show in the Saturday that was the show day. Miraculously this year, my final year, it was the first time taht the same Saturday was the anniversary of his passing. Not only did it make it emotional for me being my senior year but also told me that before I even started this project that I had someone by my side the entire time. After all my grandfather was a key component in why I kept building Ag Mech projects in the fact that I felt somehow connected to him while working.

There is a lot that goes into making a trailer on this large of a scale. This trailer truly sets itself apart from most of your store bought trailers. It has a solid top roof that I did myself with ratchet straps over the top of the sheet metal bending it down to the desired spot. The solid roof adds a lot more time and effort into a stock trailer because everything has to be perfect or you could wrinkle the sheet metal. The next unique part of my project is that it has a gate design on the inside cut gates that will protect the hauler at all times. The gates are all hinges on opposite sides of each other, meaning that when you are punching any animal up in the trailer you will keep a gate in front of you at all times. The next special part of this project is that the three axles are all based on an air ride suspension. This mean that each axle balances out to carry the same amount of weight on each axle while hauling whatever it is that you are hauling down the road. This whole project was started at the beginning of November and finished literally the day before we had to leave to San Antonio. It ended up costing a little over $30,000 to build.

Houston would have been my final stop for my senior year after all of my years doing this I never would have thought it would end quite like this. After San Antonio ended I told myself, just one more and I'm done, I said that with excitement and the more I thought about it I realized there was just, ONE MORE. Sadly that ONE MORE just didn't go as planned. I stand behind the fact that everything happens for a reason. Something will come out of this for everyone and I can't complain there. I am thankful for the years I got to enjoy doing this in High School and can't wait to see what comes next.

A special thank you to everyone on this auction for helping out fellow Ag Mech students and myself. And the man that created this auction site to give us this opportunity. God Bless and thank you.
